Dr.-Ing. Heinrich Löllmann wurde für die Jahre 2019 – 2021 zum Mitglied des Audio and Acoustic Signal Processing Technical Committe (AASP TC) der IEEE Signal Processing Society gewählt.

The plenum of the "Bayerische Akademie der Wissenschaften" has elected Prof. Dr.-Ing. André Kaup as full member of Section III: Natural Sciences, Mathematics, Technical Sciences. The "Bayerische Akademie der Wissenschaften", founded in 1759, is the largest and one of the oldest academies in Germany. Its work focuses on long-term projects that provide the basis for further research and cultural heritage. According to the statute, only scientists whose performance is "a significant extension of the knowledge base" in their subject can be elected as members. The Academy has the right to self-supplement, self-application is not possible.
The course 'Praktikum Bild- und Videosignalverarbeitung auf eingebetteten Plattformen' supervised by Karina Jaskolka, M.Sc. and PD Dr.-Ing. Jürgen Seiler, was awarded the third place out of 50 evaluated practical courses in the category of practical courses (P5) as part of the teaching evaluation of the Faculty of Engineering in the winter semester 2017/2018 with an overall grade of 1.15.
As part of the teaching evaluation of the Faculty of Engineering in the winter semester 2017/2018 the lecture "Signale und Systeme I" by Prof. Dr.-Ing. André Kaup was awarded the overall grade of 1.23 as the best of 44 evaluated events in the compulsory subject category (VP20).
The course 'Übung Image, Video, and Multidimensional Signal Processing' by Andreas Spruck, M.Sc. was awarded the overall grade of 1.25 as the second best of 38 graded exercises in the ÜW5 category as part of the teaching evaluation of the Faculty of Engineering in the winter semester 2017/2018.
The course "Übung Kommunikationsnetze" by Dr.-Ing. Thomas Richter was awarded the overall grade of 1.15 as the second best of 45 exercises in the ÜW10 category as part of the teaching evaluation of the Faculty of Engineering in the winter term 2017/2018.
Veit Pirkl, B.Sc., receives the Master Award of Siemens Corporate Technology for his Master's thesis "Description of Non-Regular Sampling and Frequency-Selective Reconstruction in the Compressed Sensing Framework" conducted at the Department of Multimedia Communications and Signal Processing.
Student Travel Award for the paper, "Dynamic Offset Correction of Electromagnetic Flow Meters" in the amount of $600.00 USD to offset expenses related to the attendance at I2MTC 2018 in Houston, TX, USA.
The exercise for the course "Signale und Systeme II" by Dr.-Ing Christian Herglotz was ranked second best in the teaching evaluation of the summer term 2018 (average grade 1.32, 24 exercises were assessed, category ÜP20).
Prof. Dr.-Ing. André Kaup was re-elected to the IEEE's Multimedia Signal Processing Technical Committee (MMSP TC) for a second term (2019-2021).
