This seminar is part of the Ferienakademie Sarntal which takes place from Sept. 22 to Oct. 4, 2019 in the Sarntal (South Tirol). The seminar is conducted by the lecturers Prof. Dr.-Ing. Walter Kellermann and Prof. Dr. sc. tech. Gerhard Kramer as well as the guest lecturer Prof. Dr.-Ing. Stephan ten Brink.

The seminar covers various methods for Machine Learning (such as probabilistic graph models, importance sampling, EM algorithms, Gaussian processes, neural networks, deep learning etc.) with applications to speech and audio processing as well as communications.

Each participant of the seminar is expected to deliver a presentation and to contribute to the implementation of selected algorithms. For obtaining seminar credits of 2.5 ECTS, a final report of ca. 10 pages is necessary.
